My background…
I pursued a graduate degree in counseling after spending 15+ years at Goldman Sachs. This was a transition that I had contemplated for many years. While at Goldman, I was privileged to interact with clients and coworkers with extraordinary life stories. I found myself interested in how certain people were able to live truly well-balanced lives – achieving both success and happiness. My true passion is helping others find satisfaction and fulfillment in the lives and relationships they worked so hard to build.
My practice – professionals and their partners and families…
My current practice focuses on individual adults. I understand the stress caused by work and the difficulties related to career progressions and transitions. Moreover, I understand how these challenges can spill over into personal relationships, especially with our partners and families. My work often includes issues with marital discord, intimacy, personal and professional relationships, work performance, step-parenting, etc. Our time together will be goal-oriented with a focus on strategies and skills to navigate your circumstances and help you work towards a more fulfilling and sustainable life.
My education and training…
After completing my undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University, I moved to New York. My previous career experiences greatly shaped who I am today. After deciding to become a therapist, I returned to Southern Methodist University and earned a Master of Science in Counseling.
Although my current practice is focused on individual adults, I have worked with a broad range of clients. I have experience with a variety of issues, including addiction, anxiety, complex trauma, depression, eating and personality disorders, PTSD, as well as career and professional challenges. I also have experience with couples trying to increase intimacy, dealing with infidelity and crisis, and looking to connect and communicate better. I am trained in Relational Life Therapy and the Gottman Method, and I am a certified Prepare and Enrich facilitator. I am committed to always furthering my training and sharing what I learn – whether the subject matter is intimacy in relationships, neurobiology, or mindfulness.
In my free time…
I love the outdoors, especially spending time in the mountains. I have practiced yoga for more than 20 years – Vinyasa and Ashtanga are my favorites. I also practice nondual meditation and am passionate about discovering ways to ease suffering.
